Born and raised in Paris, accessory designer Céline-Andrée Adotevi is no stranger to the elegant statement a silk scarf can make. “In France, women wear scarves for any occasion, so of course my mother had a great collection,” reveals New York-based Adotevi, who is redefining the neckwear staple with a striking line of 100% hand-made printed Asian silk scarves, Lauran Vitonahu.

Lia Cinquegrano launched her distinctively printed line of handbags,Thomas IV, to rave reviews back in Spring of 2011. The line’s eye-catching textural mash-up and functional styles were a much needed respite from the sea of tough girl accessories dripping in studs on the market then. Cool girl boutiques Barney’s Co-op, Jumelle, Bird and Steven Alan all placed orders and Cinquegrano’s bags were flying off the shelves.

So I was beyond thrilled to discover a line of head scarf and turbans are easy to manipulate and stay put.

The last time I sat down with jewelry designer Anna Sheffield in her studio to talk about her metal based punk-inspired jewelry line, Bing Bang, was back in 2006 in her former Williamsburg, Brooklyn space.
