Let it be known that today, January 9th 2013, is the day my luck, my terrible luck, changed for the better. No, I did not win the lottery, find a bag full of cash in a paper bag on the subway or even win a week’s worth of free soup at my current favorite lunch spot Hale & Hearty.

The wait is over! Jason Wu launched his new contemporary and much more affordable line, Miss Wu, today exclusively at Nordstrom (for the first month). The 40-piece collection, inspired by stylish icons from the ’60s like Marianne Faithfull and Jane Birkin, features a sweet and youthful take on his designs. Stripped sweaters, printed A-line and shift dresses and flirty minis are all priced between $190 and $800.
