If you’ve recently spent anytime on street-style blogs, chances are you’ve noticed that baseball caps are popping up on style-setters’ heads from NY to Paris, and everywhere in between. The baseball cap is the new sought-after headgear in fashion circles. The off-duty hat has been getting the high-fashion treatment since designers like Kenzo and Karen Walker featured it in their Spring 2012 collections. Yet another style homage to the ‘90s and the sport-influenced moment we are currently experiencing, the baseball cap is a fun and easy way to inject a hint of streetwear edge to everything in your closet.
And we do mean everything.
It goes perfectly with a myriad of looks from dressy frocks to casual ensembles. The cap is the new beanie. The same way that slouchy beanies went from a cold weather essential to a hipster must-have donned with everything, and in any season, the baseball cap is resurfacing as the newest accessory of choice.
